Chaz Howkins
Chaz Howkins is a U.K. based queer visual artist who specialises in self portraiture. Throughout their career, Howkins’ work has explored the concept of identity, with past work having a particular focus on self exploration of gender.
Howkins has been creating daily self portraits every day since January 1st 2021. So far, they have created over 1400 daily self portraits. Howkins plans to continue this ongoing project for as long as they are able to.
The first two years of this project will be exhibited at Surface Gallery, Nottingham, from November 29th -December 14th 2024.
